Mission Hills sits in between Hillcrest and Old Town, but it operates at its own quieter frequency. Washington Street is the main artery, anchored by San Diego’s oldest antique gallery and one of the city’s best independent record shops, M-Theory, and Consignment Classics next to the 5 freeway right next to Old Town. Honest Thrift and Plants is technically in Old Town, but we might as well include it here too since it’s so close by. Keep going west and you’ll find more stores in Sports Arena and Ocean Beach.
